DANCING POLLARDS

Right along the street that fronts the port of Pasaia near San Sebastian in Spain are a set of linked pollarded London planes. They make a beautiful pattern in winter and screen the port buildings in summer. Let one pollard sprout grow on each tree towards the other tree. Then wind them together. Over time, they will join.
